The Owners of the Scarlet Page
The Scarlet Page was born from love—both for each other and for the stories that brought them together. The owners; Breanna and Skyler Bergeron, a married couple, romance authors, and proud Black queer women who believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, safe, and celebrated.
Their journey led us to Killeen to be closer to family, but it also planted the roots for something they had always dreamed of creating: a bookstore that feels like home. A place where romance in all its forms is honored—soft, bold, dark, whimsical, and everything in between.
Breanna is the calm behind the shelves—a laid-back book lover who finds joy in quiet moments, anime, and cozy movie nights. Skyler is the spark in the room—high-spirited, a lover of animals, horror, and anything pink, bringing a playful and fearless energy into everything they touch. Together, they balance each other in the same way their favorite love stories do. The Scarlet Page isn’t just a bookstore—it’s a reflection of who they are and what they believe in. It’s a space built with intention, for community, for connection, and for the kind of stories that make your heart race, ache, and feel understood.
